The Difference Between a Violin and the Fiddle
Country music and the fiddle go together like peanut butter and jelly. This morning, Mark and Paul wanted to know the difference between the fiddle and a violin.
Thanks to a listener who knows way more than we do, the Flakes learned that there really isn't a difference between the two. The fiddle is a violin that's tuned higher and played faster. You learn something new every day.
While that may be true, here's a couple things we do know. First, the older the fiddle is, the sweeter the music. And, if you're moving your foot up and down, it's a fiddle. If you're not moving your foot up and down, it's a violin.
