Josh Trank's 'Fantastic Four' reboot is gearing up to shoot and the last major piece of the casting puzzle is now in place. Toby Kebbell is about to make a deal to play Dr. Victor Von Doom, the archenemy of the titular superheroes.

This comes from Variety, and Kebbell would be joining Miles Teller's Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara's Sue Storm/The Invisible Girl, Michael B. Jordan's Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Jamie Bell's Ben Grimm/The Thing. Kebbell was on the shortlist for Doom -- as we revealed a couple weeks back -- which means he won the role over Domhnall Gleeson, Eddie Redmayne and Sam Riley. And though he's not that well known stateside, he's given a lot of solid supporting performances recently, having appeared in films like ‘The Counselor‘ and ‘Wrath of the Titans,’ while he's also got a role in the upcoming ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.’

Though the film was recently falsely rumored to be on the brink of collapse, supposedly everyone is happy with the script and cast, and director Trank was last reported to be out scouting locations. It's likely Kebbell has signed a multiple picture contract as Fox has already announced that the sequel will be released July 14, 2017. The first new 'Fantastic Four' is currently scheduled to be in theaters June 19, 2015.
