It's no secret that Montana's Rocky mountains are spectacular... it's one of the reasons many of us live here. It's not often though that you get to see them freshly covered with October snow from 36,000 feet.

I wish I could have been sitting in the cockpit of the jet I was returning from Las Vegas on but this was the second best view in the house. Pilots who regularly fly in the western half of the United States get, I believe, the best panoramic views in aviation. From the Pacific Ocean to Alaska, the crazy rock formations in Utah, the Cascades and of course Montana's Rockies, the Western U.S. is unrivaled in it's natural beauty.
