Thomas Rhett has dropped a brand-new single, "Star of the Show." Like his recent hit "Die a Happy Man," the tune is another love song for his wife Lauren.

A mid-tempo ballad, "Star of the Show" is a few years old: Rhett and father Rhett Akins wrote the song shortly after Rhett and Lauren's wedding -- the first song he ever wrote about his wife. Rhett has performed the song live but never recorded it; "it was a staple in our set before we had any hits, and fans still request it to this day," he says in a press release.

"Everywhere we go, girl / You're the star of the show / And everybody's wonderin' and wantin' to know / What's your name? Who's that girl with the prettiest smile in the world?" Rhett sings in the chorus of "Star of the Show." "But what gets me the most is you don't even know / That you are, you are, you are the star of the show."

"Star of the Show" comes off of the deluxe version of Rhett's sophomore album, Tangled Up, set for release on Oct. 28. The project will feature five new tracks, including "Star of the Show," a remix of "Die a Happy Man" featuring Tori Kelly and an alternative version of "Playing With Fire" featuring Danielle Bradbery. It's available for pre-order on iTunes, where "Star of the Show" is available for download now.

Rhett recently announced his plans for his first-ever headlining tour in 2017. Beginning on Feb. 23 in Saginaw, Mich., Rhett’s Home Team Tour 2017 will hit a total of 15 cities throughout February, March and April and feature Kelsea Ballerini, Russell Dickerson and Ryan Hurd as special guests. The singer told The Boot recently that he is working on his third album.
