Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have joined the cast of The Voice, the superstar couple announced on Tuesday night (Oct. 4).

The news came while the couple were onstage for a surprise performance at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium, which they initially billed as Sam & Audrey, then confirmed just a day before the show. They shared in a press release that beginning on Oct. 24, Hill and McGraw will serve as key advisors on The Voice, making them the first duo ever to do so. The singers will help contestants prepare for the high-stakes knockout rounds that air in October.

During that show, McGraw and Hill also broke the news that they are set to undertake a massive tour together in 2017, marking the first time they have toured as a duo since 2007. It's also Hill's first tour since then.

"We have the best fans in the world, who have been with us through our entire journey and we are so excited to celebrate with them by going back on the road and showcasing an exciting new show,” the couple state in a press release. “It’s always great when we get to work together and it’s been a while since we got to do that.”

The 2017 Soul2Soul World Tour starts April 7, 2017 in New Orleans, La., and will travel to 65 dates before it wraps in October 2017 in New York City. Pre-sale tickets go on sale Friday (Oct. 7), with seats on sale to the general public on Oct. 14.
