Casting for 'Tomorrowland' appears to be in full swing, with young actress Raffey Cassidy signing on to play a little robot girl -- and with that, the leaked rumor about the plot seems to be somewhat confirmed.

We don't expect to know much more about 'Tomorrowland' for some time -- like fellow directors JJ Abrams and Chris Nolan, Brad Bird is keeping his lips sealed on the upcoming Disney project. Bird is directing from a script by fellow man of mystery Damon Lindelof and former Entertainment Weekly writer Jeff Jensen.

But now THR reports that Raffey Cassidy, the British actress who played a young version of Kristen Stewart in 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' has been cast in the role of a robotic girl, lending credence to the rumored plot details posted at HitFix a while back. The gist:

A teenage girl, a genius middle-aged man (who was kicked out of Tomorrowland) and a pre-pubescent girl robot attempt to get to and unravel what happened to Tomorrowland, which exists in an alternative dimension, in order to save Earth.

Cassidy joins previously announced leads George Clooney (the film's protagonist) and Hugh Laurie (the villain) in the top secret project, which is said to be linked in spirit to Steven Spielberg's 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind.'
