With our Billings area weather forecast today calling for consistent wind from 28 to 31 mph and gusting to over 40 mph at times, it would not be a good day to burn your overgrowth or anything for that matter. This statement is strengthened by a release from City and County officials including Billings Fire Marshal, Mike Spini ordering a prohibition against burning today, April 23rd in Billings.  Simply put, you can’t burn today!

Yellowstone County Director of Emergency Services,Duane Winslow stated,

We will reevaluate this tomorrow (April 24) and either extend the burning prohibition or rescind it based on the forecast.
