Honkytonk Badonkadonk superstar Trace Adkins has finally prevailed in his quest to be the Celebrity Apprentice champion in winning Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars. In 2008 Adkins was runner-up to eventual champion, CNN host Piers Morgan.

Adkins beat Las Vegas regular and master of illusion Penn Jillette of the duo "Penn & Teller". In the final project assignment from apprentice puppet master Donald Trump, Trace Adkins' Maple Macadamia Mash-up was bested in sales by Penn Jillette's "Magic Swurtle" featuring turtle candies and chocolate swirl with vanilla ice cream. Flavors the two celebrities created for Walgreen's new "Delish" line of frozen treats.

Despite coming up short in the final task Adkins still claimed ultimate victory earning a cool quarter of a million dollars for The American Red Cross. Jillette netted $100,000 courtesy of Walgreens, for Opportunity Village, a charity in Las Vegas that helps people with intellectual disabilities. He was also gracious in the face of defeat saying of Adkins "There could not be a harder opponent who has dignity, who has respect for other people, and Trace is all those things."
