We've seen the same old story a hundred different times, whether it's a young woman torn between her love for two brooding vampires, or a vampire and a werewolf, or, in 'True Blood's' case, all three. But we've got to hand it to the writers of 'True Blood' season 6 for making the old dog do some new tricks. We've just learned that 'True Blood's sixth year has just cast English actor Robert Kazinsky as a new love interest for Sookie Stackhouse, with a surprising twist: he's a faerie!

It's long been said that 'True Blood's' Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) can't love without a little monster in her man, and that trend doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon in season 6. TVLine reports that the supernatural HBO drama's sixth season has captured 'Eastenders' star Robert Kazinsky to portray a series regular role, the part of charasmatic faerie Ben.

According to the report, Kazinsky's Ben shares a mutual attraction with Sookie, and helps both her and her brother Jason (Ryan Kwaanten) continue their investigation into the mystery of their parents' murder. That investigation will also likely put them in the path of 'True Blood' season 6's other big casting to date, that of Rutger Hauer's sinister Macklyn.

Few other details are available on the sixth season of HBO’s fangbanging hit, though it’s known that ‘True Blood’ season 6 will be the first run by writer Mark Hudis, following series creator and showrunner Alan Ball’s departure. The season will also take place over 10 episodes, down from the usual 12, largely to accommodate series star Anna Paquin’s pregnancy with co-star Stephen Moyer.

What say you? Are you excited to see Sookie Stackhouse get a new love interest? Will she have time for romance with vampire god "Billith" on the loose? Give us your 'True Blood' season 6 predictions in the comments!
