Tweens Love their Cell Phones

No one will be surprised that 12-17 year old teens love their phones. According to Pew research 78% of them have a phone, and 47% of those phones are smartphones. Mobile access to the internet seems of great importance to these youth, especially the girls! There are many that actually sleep with them!
Fully 95% of teens are online, even more interesting, these phones are giving teenagers always-on, mobile access to the internet — in some cases, serving as their primary point of access. In overall internet use, youth ages 12-17 who are living in lower-income and lower-education households are still somewhat less likely to use the internet in any capacity.
