Two Montana Rescue Mission Workers Injured
It was a scary moment on the evening of January 23rd as two Montana Rescue Mission workers were preparing the evening meal for their guests. The two kitchen workers were finishing the prep work on dinner at the Montana Rescue Mission’s men’s shelter. The collapse of the ceiling in the kitchen happened shortly after construction workers finished working on the building near where the ceiling collapsed.
One MRM worker was standing under a light fixture that fell on her. She received 4 staples to close up a wound on her head. Another chef was being looked at for possible back injuries. The construction company returned to repair the damage.
Community Relations Manager, Sheila Cole says,
…she is amazed no one was hurt worse.
…I think it has to do with the age of the building, it being about 100 years old.
