It's happened to all of us.  You lose something and you're convinced it's gone forever.  Then, when you least expect it, you find it.

For this week's Weird Wednesday topic, the Flakes opened up the phone and took calls from listeners with some pretty crazy lost and found stories.

First, there was the guy who was bailing hay.  His cellphone fell out of his pocket into the hail bailer.  After he was finished, he saw something shiny in one of the bails.  Sure enough, it was his cell phone.  Even though the screen had been cracked, it still worked.

Then we heard from a man who lost his wallet.  At least that's what the guy on the other end of the phone told him one day.  When he told the guy who found his wallet that he hadn't lost it, the gentleman said, "No, this WAS your wallet from about 20 years.".  Turns out, that wallet he lost back when he was 18 was finally discovered a couple decades later.

Then there was the gal with the shag carpet.  Remember that ugly, thick shag carpet we all had back in the 70's and 80's.  This lady had lost one of her earrings.  Evidently, it was swallowed by the shag.  Low and behold, she found it three years later.  In the shag carpeting, of course.  As Mark put it, "it's amazing what you'll find when you vacuum once every three years".

If you've got a good "lost and found" story, we'd love to hear it.  Send it to flakes103@yahoo.com.
