What Makes It A Great Movie For You?
What makes a really great movie?
Is is things blowing up or blood shed? Is it a hot guy and sexy chick making out?
Fast cars and scantly clad babes?
Every weekend my husband and I try to spend Saturday night together with the kids and watch a movie.
We usually trade off on whom gets to pick the movie.
If it is Baileys turn it’s a comedy, like ‘Pitch Perfect’ or the’ Man With two Brains’.
If Triston picks it’s going to be filled with Zombies, like ‘World War Z’ or even a good history documentary (I love that he is so into history).
If my husband picks, well spin the wheel, it cold be anything.
I generally forgo my time to choose as they never like what I like.
The other night I decided that I would pick and I chose a movie from 1987 called ‘From The Hip’, staring Judd Nelson as a new attorney who shadily weasels his way into court to try a big case. Which by the way I thought was a fantastic movie.
Apparently there weren’t enough zombies or laughs in the movie as everyone but me fell asleep.
Anyway my point of the whole story is, that it is very interesting what we each think makes a good or great movie.
For me it has to have a reason for what is happening, not just shoot ‘em up drive fast, make out scenes.
What makes a good movie in your eye?
