What’s The Best Family Dog?

My family and I have had a number of different kind of dogs over the years, each were very dear to our heart.

After being without a dog for over a year we finally adopted a very nice female black lab from the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. She has been overly good with my kids and the perfect addition to our family.

As we went through the decision process I couldn't help but wonder what the perfect family dog is. Is there a perfect breed for a family?

The golden retriever seems to be one of the more popular choices.
