When Country Comes To Town: Merle Haggard and Don Williams Headed to Alberta Bair Theater

Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry and so many new names and faces in the music business, what has country music become? Remember the good old days of true country music, like Hank Williams, George Jones, Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton? Before big stage performances and gimmicks.
The roots of country music comes to Billings this May and July with Merle Haggard and Don Williams at the Alberta Bair Theater. The legendary Merle Haggard live at the ABT Wednesday, May 30 at 7:30p.m. From “Okie From Muskogee“,“The Fightin’ Side of Me“, and “Mama Tried“, to his latest CD “Working in Tennessee” Merle continues to bring his traditional sound to the country music world.

They came to call Don Williams “the Gentle Giant” -a dominating country hit maker with his unique laid-back, easy style that has appealed to adult men and women alike—cutting across national and genre boundaries. Don Williams will perform at the Alberta Bair Theater Monday, July 16 at 7:30p.m. You can expect him to perform his country standards like “ Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “It Must Be Love,” “Amanda” and “Tulsa Time”.
Tickets are on sale for both shows at the Alberta Bair Theater Box Office or online at albertabairtheater.com
