Being an Idaho native, I could probably give you thousands of potato recipes. My "Thompson Potatoes" is something that I particularly fond of.

Potato farmers seem to do pretty well in the state obviously, but apparently one man is making a lot of money not by growing or cooking them, but engraving messages in these underground beasts and selling them.

Alex Craig is 24 and the proud owner of Potato Parcel, and he doesn't even live in Idaho! He's based out of North Texas.

This kid is taking orders through his website where you too can request a special message, have it engraved into a potato and then sent to someone.

Stupid?

I think not. Alex claims he is making $10,000 a month since he launched his site in May and says, "We’ve sent thousands of potatoes to people across the United States, and so, in some sort of weird way, we’ve had an impact on somebody’s life — even for a split second.”

Who would of thought?
