It must be my age. I've finally reached a point in my life where my mind needs more than just my favorite albums being played in the background. I need substance. And because of that I watch a lot of documentaries these days.

With my passion for music, I really enjoyed "The History Of The Eagles." Not only the historical parts, but the stories of the fights between band members.

If you're a fan of the band Chicago, their documentary is quite good as well.

But I ran across one this weekend called "The Many Lives Of Nick Buoniconti."

I was a fan of the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphin team that he played on. He would also go on to be a very good sports agent and fundraiser.

The documentary also explores the relationship between him and his two sons, one of which was paralyzed while playing college football.

Even if you aren't old enough to remember that Dolphin team, this show tells a great story about family.
