Why Is The Death Of Trayvon Martin More Important Than Our Country In Crisis?
The news that George Zimmerman was found not guilty has rocked the airwaves and the political circle all the way up to the Attorney General and the President. As a former prosecutor pointed out on the O’Reilly Factor last night, just because the jury found him not guilty, does not mean that he is innocent. As we were discussing the subject in the office, I asked one of the sales ladies that sits next to me what she thought of the verdict and she said “I think it was wrong, he is guilty”. My response was, why?
Why should they have come back with a guilty verdict? Her only answer was, I don’t know, I haven’t followed the story very closely.
Really! Here is my point, if you don’t know the facts how can you make a judgement. Here is how I see the situation, no one knows what really happened that night except for two people and one of those people is sadly deceased and the other was found not guilty by a jury of his peers.
Is he guilty? You have to make your own decision on that, but remember the prosecution failed to make their case to prove that he acted in anything but self defense.
Was Trayvon Martin profiled because he was black? Again we will never know as Zimmerman certainly will never admit it if it were true.
I am amazed by all of the Political fall out from this. We have record high unemployment, people are being cut back at their jobs from full-time to part-time because of Obama-care and the IRS is targeting specific groups and spending OUR money with out consequence. Is it unfortunate that this young man died, yes, is it the biggest crisis we have in this country NO!
Why is this case so much more important than any other shooting?
