Paul Mushaben isn't a doctor, he's just a broadcaster and a rancher, but he's got a degree from Common Sense University.  And it doesn't take an expert to see how the media is downplaying the potentially catastrophic Ebola outbreak.

Last night, as Paul was watching the talking heads on the news praise the New York doctor who recently tested positive, he couldn't believe how idiotic the media coverage is getting.  Sure, this doctor did a noble thing treating patients in Africa.  However, he should have known he was at risk and quarantined himself for 21 days before returning to a major metropolis like New York City.

And, of course, the lamestream media will remind you how difficult it is to contract Ebola.  They'll point out that you have to share bodily fluids with someone in order to pass it along. But isn't that exactly how the common cold spreads?  Somebody sneezes on their hand and grabs a doorknob, and hundreds are at risk.

So why does the media downplay this real threat to our health and safety?  Because every story these days is weighed politically.  Instead of downplaying the risks, the Flakes contend we should prepare for Ebola as if it were catastrophic.  Look what's happened already in Africa.  Now, it's coming here.

Sadly, the real concern for this problem won't begin until its too late.  Just wait until Ebola finds its way into a public school and watch the media then.
