Cloud Atlas
Can the Wachowskis redeem themselves for the muddled âMatrixâ sequels with their ambitious, star-studded new effort, âCloud Atlas?â All signs seem to point to ⦠maybe. Critics are mostly split on âCloud Atlas,â the Wachowskisâ three hour-long genre-hopping collaboration with âRun Lola Runâ director Tom Tykwer. Many are praising the filmâs massive scope, bravery and imagery while others say the picture starts with promise but is too unfocused and shallow deliver a real emotional impact. ScreenCrushâs Matt Singer liked it, but he suggests itâll take more than one viewing to absorb all of the filmâs finer points. Singer writes, âa second viewing sounds like an absolute pleasure rather than a chore.â All we know is, we never thought weâd be excited about a movie in which Halle Berry plays six roles. âCloud Atlasâ opens Friday.
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D
Hey, this looks like fun. We havenât had a dumb video game adaptation in theaters for a while, and this oneâs got Sean Bean, Carrie-Anne Moss, Radha Mitchell, and Malcolm McDowell! In 3D! Promise at least three beheadings and one topless scene before the third act and weâre in. âSilent Hill: Revelation 3Dâ opens Friday.

âBlade Runnerâ 30th Anniversary Collectorâs Edition on Blu-ray
Director Ridley Scottâs final cut of the classic sci-fi mindfrak gets a re-release this Tuesday, and itâs packed with extras like lobby cards, documentaries, screen tests, and several versions of the film, including the dark âWorkprintâ version.
âAbraham Lincoln Vampire Hunterâ on Blu-ray
Honest Abeâs vamp slaying adventures kinda sorta bombed at the box-office, but weâre rooting for Timur Bekmambetovâs action-horror fantasy to become a hit on home video. Enjoy all the historically inaccurate bloodletting on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday.
âDonât Trust the Bâ in Apartment 23â Season 2 premiere
Two Words: Krysten Ritter. Three more words: Krysten Ritterâs legs. Oh, and the jokes are pretty funny too. âDonât Trust the Bââ premieres Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
