Would You Give a Ride to a Total Stranger?

Looks like over the weekend, an author, Ray Dolan, was shot just outside of Glendive.   Keep in mind, this guy is hitch hiking all over to write a book called, "The Kindness of America".  (How ironic.)

First, don't hitch hike.  Really?  People still do that?  I'd no more pick up a hitch hiker than fly a kite, and I'd expect fellow Montanans to do the same.  If you don't know who they are and what they're all about, why is it safe to let them in your car?  Use some common sense.

While hitch hiking, you have got to remember that not everyone is the kind of person you should approach, let alone, jump in a car with.

I suppose it all comes down to don't hitch hike!  For the love of Pete, use some common sense!
