I was reading the article in the paper this morning detailing the new bridge that's going to be built as part of the new 75 million dollar project that will connect Lockwood with the heights and hopefully alleviate truck traffic in some areas.

In the article, it is mentioned that there will be a bike lane. My first question is when did bike lanes, bike traffic, and bike people become inserted into our modern traffic?

My issues with bike riders happen when they don't follow the traffic rules. I don't really even understand why it bothers me so much when I see some guy biking down the sidewalk when we went to all of the trouble and expense of building you your own lane to ride in. Or when they run red lights. Or don't yield.

Anyway. Wear your helmets. Watch out for angry pickup drivers stay safe.
