Your Television is Watching You

For the past decade, Paul has predicted that someday our televisions will be used to spy on us.  Sadly, that day has arrived.  A British blogger recently discovered that his LG “Smart” TV had been collecting information about his viewing habits.

At first, the man disabled the feature that allows his tv to monitor what he watches, only to discover that the information was still being sent to an external hard drive.  LG has been collecting data this customer data for marketing purposes.

Paul has been warning us for years that televisions will be watching us.  However, Mark noted that Paul’s original “Big Brother” theory was that cable companies would spy on use through our cable boxes.  Paul would also like everyone to know that he doesn’t believe 9-11 was an inside job, he doesn’t think the Moon landing was staged and he definitely doesn’t believe that the CIA killed John Kennedy.
