Consider Country Jam Colorado the train that never runs out of steam. Friday, Day 2, pushed up the hill with even more vigor than the first, with acts like Keith Urban, Thompson Square and Frankie Ballard settling into the mountains outside Grand Junction for a full day of great country music.

Jessica Lynn and Rachele Lynae kicked off the second day of Country Jam 2015, with Lynn's performance a little reminiscent of Shania Twain. Lynae threw a couple of covers into her set, including Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," which got the crowd more familiar with her sound. Western Underground were up next, and they took the traditional country route. The group paid tribute to Chris LeDoux, especially with a song in which they referred to him as "the King of Wyoming."

Frankie Ballard and Thompson Square helped turn the lights down, but in a good way, leading into the evening set. Ballard's performance was high-energy, and the singer made good on his appearance with "Sunshine and Whiskey," "Helluva Life" and "Young and Crazy." Thompson Square honored National Kissing Day, even playing a giant singalong for "Family Tradition." They were a highlight of a very hot (figuratively and literally) day of music for many fans.

Keith Urban's set was as mind-blowing as one would expect from the seasoned headliner, though fans probably weren't anticipating that he'd leap from the stage and make his way to the lawn to sing, despite thousands of grabbing hands along the way. He found a perfect spot to settle with his microphone, mic stand and guitar, where he stayed for a good while in order to serenade a portion of the audience that wasn't as close to the stage.
