Spring is less than a month away. But it will feel like we're forever stuck in winter with another dose of bitter cold and the threat of heavy snow coming our way.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a "prolonged period of accumulating snow" Sunday through Tuesday with highs in the single digits and dangerous wind chills. Weather Channel's 10-day forecast for Billings has at least a 30% chance of snow beginning this Sunday through March 7.  KTVQ-TV also shows daily snowfall at least through NEXT Saturday March 2.

Motorists traveling through Livingston on Friday night and Saturday should be prepared for hazardous driving conditions.  N.W.S. suggests those traveling with high profile vehicles delay their travel with heavy winds and blowing snow expected.

Here are additional details on the hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service:

Saturday night another arctic surge will move into the area. Temperatures will once again fall into the single digits for highs, with lows well below zero. Additionally, accumulating snowfall is expected across much of the area, which could pose a threat to travel and young livestock.
