RiverStone Health Offers Free HIV Testing

WHO:             RiverStone Health HIV Prevention

WHAT:          HIV Testing Day: free, confidential HIV, Syphilis & Hepatitis C testing; other activities include spin-the-wheel for prizes and Kona Ice. Other service organizations will also have information tables.

WHEN:          National HIV Testing Day, June 27; noon to 4 p.m.

WHERE:       Billings Skate Park, RiverStone Health testing

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, RiverStone Health HIV Prevention will provide prizes and Kona Ice for participants who get free testing for HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis C.  The rapid tests require only a few drops of blood from a finger stick.

The CDC advises everyone ages 13 to 64 to get tested for HIV at least once.  You should get tested at least once a year if:

• You are a sexually active gay or bisexual man
• You have had sex with an HIV-positive partner
• You’ve had more than one partner since your last HIV test
• You’ve shared needles to inject drugs
• You’ve exchanged sex for drugs or money
• You have another sexually transmitted disease, hepatitis, or tuberculosis
• You’ve had sex with anyone who has done anything previously listed or with someone whose sexual history you don’t know.
