Airbnb Has Released Their Favorite Fall Destinations For 2024

Shoulder season is a great time to plan a get-a-way without paying the peak season prices.

Just because it's shoulder season doesn't mean you'll miss out on anything either, well, except for the crowds. It actually means cheaper flights, hotel stays, food, and more. Most prices for everything go down immediately following official tourist season, which in Montana, peak tourist season is summer AND ski season, so fall and early spring are your best bets for more affordable travel.

I Want The Whole "Fall Experience" But I Need To Save Cash

Airbnb states that their clients cited price as the main deciding factor in deciding a property. A lot of times, these cities recommended by Airbnb for fall are more  "niche destinations that embody that true essence of fall".

Is Montana Considered A Fall Destination?

If asked this a couple of years ago, I'd have said no. Turns out I was wrong. Again. I've seen Montana on a few fall foliage destination maps. As a matter of fact, there is one Montana town that made Airbnb's fall destination list, and it's NOT Whitefish, Bozeman or Kalispell. Imagine that.  However, the town Airbnb has chosen is near a couple of those prime Montana locations.
