Be a Snow Buddy: Volunteer To Clear Snow for Billings Residents
As winter blankets Billings in a layer of snow, many residents are finding it difficult to keep up with the task of snow removal. Sidewalks, steps, and driveways must be cleared to ensure safe passage, particularly for those with limited mobility. In response to this pressing need, the Billings Snow Buddies volunteer program has been established to match willing volunteers with neighbors in need of assistance.
Billings Snow Buddies: Supporting Our Community
The Billings Snow Buddies program is an initiative that pairs individuals who are unable to clear their own snow with volunteers who are eager to lend a helping hand. This program not only helps in adhering to the city's snow removal requirements but also goes the extra mile to ensure safety and accessibility for residents.
Billings Snow Buddies Volunteer Opportunity
Currently, the program is in urgent need of volunteers. Despite efforts, there is a waiting list of individuals still in need of snow removal assistance. The only prerequisites for volunteers are that they own a shovel or snow blower and that they are committed to clearing snow from the assigned residence within approximately 24 hours after snowfall, or as soon as they are able.
How to Get Involved with Billings Snow Buddies
If you are interested in volunteering your time and energy to help neighbors in need of snow removal, please reach out to Justin at 406-647-0812. Alternatively, you can also contact him through the program's Facebook page. Your involvement will make a significant impact in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members during the winter months.

Billings Snow Buddies Guidelines and Compliance
The Billings Snow Buddies program is dedicated exclusively to assisting individuals who are physically unable to clear snow themselves. Volunteers are here to lend a hand out of goodwill and neighborly support.
To ensure that services remain focused on residential customers, the program requests that realtors, businesses, or other corporate entities seeking snow removal services refrain from using this volunteer initiative.
