Billings Veteran & Community Resource Fair: Supporting Our Heroes Together
While I never served in the military, I grew up in a military family, and my best friend is an Army veteran. Recently, my friend and I were talking about how difficult it is for members of the military to return to civilian life following their time in the service and how there is a need for more resources to help them transition into a life outside of the military.
Luckily for veterans in Billings, there is help and it comes from the Veterans Navigation Network. The Veterans Navigation Network provides support and resources to help military service members, veterans, and their families navigate their transition to civilian life.
On Saturday, February 15, the Veterans Navigation Network is holding an event that will be helpful for both our veterans and community and the best part is that the event is open to the public and free to attend.
Billings Veteran and Community Resource Fair
The upcoming Veterans Navigation Network Veteran and Community Resource Fair is bringing together community service providers to help veterans and the community access important services. These services include healthcare, education, employment, caregiving, VA programs, Social Security, and more.
The event will take place at the Billings Hotel and Conference Center on Saturday, February 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to attend.
Meet Ben Patton: Guest Speaker
Ben Patton will be a special guest speaker at the fair. He is the son of the late Major General George S. Patton IV and grandson of World War II General George S. Patton Jr. Ben founded the Patton Veterans Project to help veterans in 2011.
Ben has extensive experience in music, television, and independent film in New York and has a master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Columbia University. Ben was also recently honored with the Meritorious Public Service Medal for his work which is the highest commendation award given by the Secretary of the Army to a civilian.
Lunch, Prizes, and Activities
At the fair, you can expect more than 50 service providers offering information and resources. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, and there will be door prizes, raffles, and activities for kids.
The fair is not just about getting information—it's also about having a good time and bringing the community together.
An Event to Support Our Veterans
The Veteran and Community Resource Fair allows everyone to learn about and access important resources. It is a way for the community to show support and appreciation for veterans who have served their country.

Whether you are a veteran, a family member, or a community member, this fair is a great opportunity to connect with services and people who care about supporting our veterans and community.
