Most Popular Travel Destinations For Montanan’s This Summer

It might actually start to feel like summer is arriving for us here in Montana. I'm not promising anything, as we all know Montana weather has a mind of it's own.

Temperatures are nearing 80 next week, school is about done, and families are going to start planning their annual summer getaways. For some of us, that trip could be the annual camping trip you have been taking for years. For others, they may be planning an international getaway.

What are the top two travel destinations that Montanan's are searching for?

According to Cloudwards, Montanan's searched for this city in Mexico the most. Often full of tourists, Cancun is apparently the most popular for Montanan's.

When it comes to domestic travel, Cloudwards discovered that, like the rest of the United States, Las Vegas is the top choice for a domestic vacation.

I have been to both locations, and as much as I love the sandy white beaches of Cancun, I actually prefer a bit less busy destination when traveling internationally.

Las Vegas is always fun, even if it is just for a weekend getaway. Direct flights from Bozeman make the trip extra easy, and it doesn't hurt they are reasonably priced. We just took a road trip to Las Vegas last month and the drive is also super easy.

Are you planning a summer getaway this year? If you want to avoid the crazy busy crowds, you may want to look at not choosing Las Vegas or Cancun. Both are great vacation spots in the off season as well.
