We love a good BLT sandwich and thought it appropriate to build a list of some of the best BLTs you can find in Montana. Bacon, lettuce, and tomato - and perhaps a little deli meat or some avocado. It all depends if you're a traditionalist or prefer some BLT extras.

NOTE: For those who love BLT sandwiches, these Montana restaurants and delis can return the call with some of the tastiest in the state. But they ALSO generally make great Club Sandwiches if you prefer a little more on your bread.

Rockets Gourmet Wraps & Sodas (2809 1st Ave. Nth Downtown Billings, Montana): Open Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm only. This locally owned shop has been around since 1999. Their tasty BLT is in a wrap form. Per the menu - Creamy Pesto BLT.....bacon and red bird farms chicken with a creamy pesto dressing, parmesan and fresh tomatoes with leaf lettuce

Gil's Goods (207 West Park St, Livingston, Montana): Gil's Goods is part of the "Murray Block" in downtown Livingston, anchored by the historic Murray Hotel. Gil's is very easy to find and a hub for casual, tasty plates. Known for their wood-fired pizzas, burgers and sandwiches. Their BLT comes on house-made sourdough bread. (Food service daily from 12pm - 9pm with late night bar service Thursday - Saturday)

LOW KEY SANDWICHES (Food truck in Bozeman, Montana): This much-loved food bus, can be found in the large parking lot at Kenyon Noble on Oak Street in Bozeman. They're known for "Global sandwiches with local ingredients". They've got picnic tables for you to eat casually on site or get your BLT to go.

Windbag Saloon & Grill (19 S Last Chance Gulch in Helena, Montana): This place is liked by locals and visitors alike, and the history of the building is worth the visit. Fiddler's Green (5104 Southgate Drive, Billings, Montana): This is a hidden treasure in Billings if you're looking for tasty basics like burgers or BLT sandwiches. They dub their winner as - "One Big BLT served on grilled thick-cut, wide-pan bread with Dailey's bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Crinkle cut fried on the side."

Tagliare Delicatessen (Missoula, Montana): There are 2 separate locations, 1433 S Higgins Ave (location 1) 910 Wyoming street suite 101 (Location 2). "Fresh local and imported Italian ingredients". In addition to making creative charcuterie boards, they're menu is packed with creative deli sandwiches named after famous rock bands. (The Flaming Lips at Tagliare is their BLT, btw.)

"(Tagliare Delicatessen is) A specialty import market and New York style Italian deli. Gourmet sandwiches are made with only fresh, high-quality, specialty ingredients. The rustic baguette bread on which the sandwiches are made is baked and delivered fresh daily from Le Petit bakery."

Revelry (24 North Tracy, Bozeman, Montana): Revelry is located just off Main Street in the heart of downtown Bozeman. "We are your neighborhood eatery, here to serve a wholesome and savory palate that celebrates Montana roots with fresh, locally sourced ingredients." Revelry has a very special Blackened Salmon BLT on the menu which is absolutely worth a visit.

5th & Wine (214 Fifth Street South, Great Falls, Montana): They are known for their wine shop, deli, and weekend brunches. They also have a large outdoor patio is you like to enjoy your BLT alfresco. The Italian BLT includesCrispy prosciutto, bacon, fennel salami, red leaf lettuce, juicy heirloom tomatoes on blue truck sourdough bread with a honey balsamic dressing and garlic aioli.
