Montana State isn't as large as some universities, but it's still an incredible college town for students.

Places like Ann Arbor, Tuscon, Boulder, and more only exist because of the massive college student population. These spots depend on college students to help their businesses succeed.
Most of these college towns have massive student populations. The students can grow a town's population to double its size, depending on the institution.
Is there anywhere in Montana that would be considered a top college town in America?
Possibly.
Bozeman Named Top 50 College Town
247 Sports came out with a list of the Top 50 College Towns in America, and the usual suspects were there.
Austin, Morgantown, and Eugene were all named, but one Montana city barely scraped by and made the Top 50.
Bozeman was named the #47 best college town in America.
Montana State University is Big Sky Country's largest college institution, with over 17,000 students, and has several elements of an incredible college town.
Fantastic athletics, beautiful surroundings, and a welcoming community helped Bozeman land on the list.
Other FCS schools on the list were the University of North Dakota, North Dakota State, and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Surprisingly, the University of Montana wasn't anywhere on the list.
Missoula is a perfect college town. There are community events, concerts, activities, and delicious food wherever you go.
We feel some Griz fans will be upset seeing its list, but it's just another thing the Bobcats do better.
Deal with it.
