Dive Bars in Montana

Who doesn't love a good dive bar?

Anywhere you go in Montana, there is a bar. It might not look pristine or have every fancy liquor, but it carries the essentials and is affordable.

These places bring communities together after a long day or week to relax.

Montana Dive bars are loved.

They are a place where you can sit, enjoy a quiet drink, and catch up with some friends.

Several Montana dive bars have existed for many decades or over a century.

Many of these bars try not to change to keep their rustic look or stay true to their soul.

It's not often these bars go up for sale, but there is one that is a hot spot for locals and tourists during the summer.

The Old Saloon For Sale

We are as surprised as you.

The Bozeman Real Estate Group reports the iconic Old Saloon in Emigrant is for sale.

The Old Saloon opened in 1902 and hasn't changed much. They've added a few other buildings and host summer concerts in their parking lot, but The Old Saloon is a pure Montana bar. The Old Saloon sees customers from Paradise Valley and Bozeman and visitors checking out Yellowstone, Livingston, or Pray. What blows us away is the price. If you want to buy The Old Saloon, it will cost you a little more than $3.4 million.

That price seems cheap for an iconic bar that has been around for over 120 years, has a steady customer base, and is in a beautiful spot in Montana.

We hope The Old Saloon finds a buyer who understands why that bar has lasted so long and keeps it perfect.

What's your favorite memory of The Old Saloon?
