Buford is a Playful Pup, Ready to Adopt Now in Billings
Need a buddy in your life?
Our featured Wet Nose Wednesday Pet from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter this week is a fun-loving dog named Buford. He came bounding through our studio door, quickly making friends with my kids, who happened to be on my show today for an impromptu "bring your kids to work" day. They loved Buford and pleaded with me to take him home.
Buford is a young, active dog.
The shelter believes Buford is a red German Shepherd mix, and he's about eleven months old. He was surrendered to Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter about a week ago because his human(s) are moving and unable to keep him. Sad, right?
Loyal, smart, and ready to play.
German shepherds can be great pets and are well known for their intelligence and loyalty. The American Kennel Club describes the breed,
Loyal, confident, courageous, and steady, the German Shepherd is truly a dog lover's delight.
German Shepherds are intelligent and love learning new skills. You'll see them trained as police dogs and they make great family pets.
Adopt Buford today at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter
Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at YVAS said that Buford plays well with other dogs, and should be good with respectful children. He'll probably enjoy chasing cats, so keep that in mind.
Speaking of cats...
Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is hosting its final Kitty Yoga class of the year on August 15th. This fun class is open to yoga practitioners of all skill levels, who can enjoy a session with a room full of cuddly kittens. Find full details and the registration link on the shelter's Facebook post (above).
