Meet our Wet Nose Wednesday Featured Pet, Chevelle.

Each week we feature an adoptable pet from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings. Today, our dog is a total sweetheart named Chevelle. This adorable American Bulldog mix is quite the lover.

Chevelle showed up at the shelter as a stray, after being picked up running loose with another dog in the Billings area. Her partner-on-the-run was quickly adopted, but Chevelle has been available now for over a week and she's ready for a loving forever home.

This chunky, stout girl is nine years old and LOVES toys.

Can I be frank? I'm not typically a huge fan of bully breeds. That's the great thing about dogs; there is a breed for every human. Some people love weiner dogs, some love Corgies or cow dogs, and others have a passion for German Shepherds or Pugs. However, I fell in love with Chevelle. I could envision her fitting in nicely with our other dogs and family.

Chevelle is well-mannered and knows how to sit and shake (with both paws!). She is gentle and loves car rides, said Lyndsay Dillon, Volunteer Coordinator at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter.

5 of the World's Most Deadly Insects Are in Montana Right Now

Field & Stream, an outdoor publication that's been around for more than 125 years, put together a list of the most deadly insects (and arachnids, they admitted to being "taxonomically laid back" in their article) in the world. Five of them can be found in Montana!
