Lex is a Big Handsome Fella. He’s Ready to be Adopted in Billings

It's Wet Nose Wednesday and we're back with another awesome dog, ready to be adopted at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings. He's big and handsome, and he's been at the shelter for far too long.

Meet Lex, Billings' featured adoptable pet.

Lex is a one-year-old American Bully mix, who was surrendered to the shelter over a month ago. Lex reportedly didn't play well with another large dog in his former home, although he seems to do okay with smaller dogs and cats, said Linsday Dillon of YVAS.

A shy, big guy, looking for a safe, loving home.

Lex is a large, solid, dog. He sports a good-looking white coat with charming, dark silver circles around his eyes and ears. He is slightly shy (more so around men), but he warmed up to us when we brought out the bag of dog treats we keep tucked under the cabinet.

Lex is starting to become a long-hauler at the shelter.

Most dogs get adopted in a matter of days at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, however, older dogs or certain breeds can take a couple of weeks to find new homes. Poor Lex has been at the shelter for over a month, and we're not sure why. He's quite sweet.
