FREE ADOPTIONS: Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is Overflowing
We were bummed today that we didn't get to meet a new dog from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings. Employees were at their annual staff retreat, so they were unable to make their in-studio visit for Wet Nose Wednesday.
Earlier this week, a Facebook post from the shelter stated they are critically full. Derek Wulf, Humane Outreach Coordinator at YVAS, said in an email today the shelter remains at max capacity. They're overflowing with adoptable cats and dogs.

Adopt a pet for $0 continues.
To help ease the overcrowding at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter, all adoption fees remain waived. Wulf wrote,
Everything at the shelter is free to adopt. This includes kittens and puppies (if there are any available) and it also includes the licensing fees.
That's right, for an indefinite amount of time, you can adopt ANY animal for free—zip, nada, zilch. This is an amazing time for adoptees to save big on a new four-legged friend.
If you are unable to adopt a pet, you can always help in other ways too. YVAS is low on food (cat, dog, wet or dry), pet toys, blankets, and paper towels. Donations can be dropped off 24/7 at the large donation drop container at the front of their building.
Thank you Shipton's Big R for supporting animal adoption in the Billings area.
