He’s Back, Montanans With President Trump in Nation’s Capital
What a beautiful morning in our nation's capital- Washington, D.C. It was chilly, but the sun was shining.
With the outdoor ceremonies cancelled, dozens of Montanans who travelled to Washington for the inauguration ended up attending a watch party inside of Montana Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) office on Capitol Hill. What a service by him and his staff- they had donuts and coffee for all the Montanans who showed up. Every nook and cranny of his staff offices were filled with kids, cowboy hats, and all sorts of Montanans watching the ceremony.
Here's a video Senator Daines shared Monday:
I didn't even try to brave the line at the Capital One Arena, but as you can see in the photo above with the ladies in the red and green hats- at least one Montanan made it indoors for President Trump's speech. Stacy Zinn is the former head of the DEA in Montana. She's wearing the green hat and volunteered to help out at the event. She rain into Natalie Crawford (red hat above) from Billings, Montana who was able to make it inside for the festivities.
While walking in front of Fox News and NBC News' Washington Bureau headquarters, I ran into Governor Greg Gianforte (photo above). He and First Lady Susan Gianforte got to be in the capitol for President Trump's inauguration.
Earlier that morning I ran into Al Sharpton's crew walking into NBC News.
Our inauguration coverage is "sponsored by Yellowstone Family Dental in Billings. Montana’s Premier center for dental implants." Go to MontanaDentalImplants.com for more info. Big thanks to them for making this coverage happen. I'll be LIVE from Capitol Hill Tuesday morning.
How cold was it? It definitely reminded me of playing football on the Hi Line as a kid...you know- if the football hit your fingertips it would sting. But I walked around the city with a sport coat on and it wasn't too bad (as long as you weren't out there for hours on end).
