Last Wednesday (June 13), Kip Moore experienced another first in his life, as BMI headquarters in Nashville filled up with supporters of his career to celebrate his recent multi-week chart-topping hit, ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.’ Moore and his co-writer Dan Couch received numerous plaques and trophies, as well as words of encouragement and praise on the rooftop of the publishing company.

After months and months of anticipation, new Jason Aldean music is finally on its way. While on the red carpet at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, Aldean told Taste of Country and a handful of other reporters that his first new single from the next record will be at radio as soon as a month from now.

Last week it was party time once again for Lee Brice. This time, however, he was not celebrating a song he wrote for another artist, but rather his own hit song, ‘A Woman Like You.’ Brice and the song’s three writers — Phil Barton, Jon Stone and Johnny Bulford — gathered at CMA headquarters in Nashville where they were honored with the song that topped the country singles chart back in April. The singer finds himself sitting atop the country singles chart this week with his very first career No. 1 hit, ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.’ Moore leaked the exciting news to his fans on Sunday afternoon through his Twitter page. “Truck just went number 1 and I can’t express my gratitude through a tweet to everyone who’s supported me … no
