Gary Perry represents Colstrip, so we had to get his take on the comments by Louisiana Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) referring to our nation's "stupid" energy policy.

If coal is dead, then why did I just see a train load full of coal just roll past my house? And where is that coal headed? Here's some great info after we attended the rally for Montana coal in Roundup.

"These deep pocketed liberal environmental groups litigate these attempts to get a mine going in Montana. Look what happened to Stillwater mine. Lost those 700 jobs. What a gut punch to our state."

Be very careful when you're scrolling through the news and reading these anti-Colstrip narratives. Don't fall for the fake news, false narrative.

A majority of Montana's Congressional Delegation is sounding off. This, after the head of the EPA claimed that Colstrip is "cheating the system."

The Signal Peak coal mine amounts to hundreds of jobs and hundreds of millions in tax revenue for the Billings, Montana area. That project and those jobs are now at risk, according to a report in The Big Sky Business Journal.

"China has over 300 more coal power plants in the works, issuing permits for another 52 gigawatts of coal power in just the first half of 2023 alone."

Biden's new mercury standards could shut down Colstrip by 2026, if enacted.

Is this the bill that will help save Colstrip, the coal mine, and the coal-fired power plant in Southeast Montana? Or, will Colstrip shut down anyway, and will ratepayers be left holding the bag?
