National Guard

Governor Greg Gianforte has announced that help is on the way to Florida from the Montana National Guard, in response to Hurricane Ian.

"The paraglider and another man were launching from the 9700 ft peak using speed wings when the man crashed in a rocky chute approximately 500 ft below the summit."

Today, we traveled up to the Billings International Airport to welcome home the National Guard! They were treated to a water cannon salute as they taxied into the terminal.

Just a couple of random thoughts this morning.

A year ago we spoke with a great, inspirational lady by the name of Doris Ehli. She had already survived COVID-19, and was quarantined inside of the Marias Heritage Center, which had been the hardest hit in the state from the virus at the time. Doris passed away this past weekend, surrounded by family.

"What did you do this weekend?" That's a good water cooler question many of us ask at the office on a Monday, right? It's also the question posed by the Montana Army National Guard.

Our President has requested National Guard troops to secure our southern border. Even Gov. Jerry Brown from California is sending in 400 members. Bullock will use our Guard to help with fires and floods, but not to help with the flood of drugs and Illegal immigrants storming into our country...
