I've always wondered how millions upon millions of people can live in crap holes like Los Angeles and hardly anyone lives in Montana. Sure the weather is better and the beach is close but it seems like the crime, smog and ridiculously high prices more than outweigh the benefits...

#1. The people. Billings has the friendliest, most welcoming and hardest working people in the United States. The salt of the earth. Recently the battery in my car went out and even though I had AAA and didn't need their help at least 3 people stopped to help...

It's no secret that Montana's Rocky mountains are spectacular... it's one of the reasons many of us live here. It's not often though that you get to see them freshly covered with October snow from 36,000 feet. I wish I could have been sitting in the cockpit of the jet I was returning from Las Vegas on but this was the second best view in the house...

Folks if you are hunting in the Sun River area, you need to be very careful as wildlife officials are warning folks in the area and people who hunt along the Sun River west of Great Falls that grizzly bears have been hanging out in the area.

Nothing will make you appreciate the power of nature quite like watching a dozen cypress trees being sucked underwater in the blink of an eye by a sinkhole.

Since the clouds are going to ruin today's sunset I thought I'd share a shot of last weeks amazing sunset I shot from our studios at the top of the Crowne Plaza tower in downtown Billings.
