Billings Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics Montana will jump off Saturday, December 1st at Lake Elmo State Park. Participants will be "Freezin' For A Reason" as they take an icy dip into the lake starting at 1pm with registration from 11am-12:30pm.

A determined Garth Brooks fan caught the singer's attention long enough to share a photo, three Special Olympic medals and plenty of emotions with the singer. Video shows that Brooks fights back tears as he receives Nathan Putman's gift, and then he does something unexpected.

It seems like forever since the the Special Olympics Montana State Summer Games have been in Billings.  The event was here in 2000.  Now the Special Olympics are back in the Magic City through 2014.  The games have been in Bozeman the last 3 years.
