I was walking through a downtown alley on my way to grab lunch and I passed behind a well known microbrewery and saw these barrels of wet grain in the back. If you've ever taken a tour of the brewing process then you know these are the remnants of making the nectar of the gods. These barrels still had that sweet smell that the wort has prior to having the yeast introduced. That sweet smell is sugar and when the yeast is stirred in it eats the sugar and the by-product is alcohol... in this case... BEER!

It was all I could do to keep from taking some home with me to see if I could make some sloppy seconds beer. If you can do make crappy coffee with old coffee grounds then why can't you make beer with boiled grain? There's got to be a little of the good stuff left. Considering the quality of most store bought premium beers I'll take a local microbrewery "sloppy seconds" beer any day of the week!
