What On Earth Is This?

So, I'm walking into work the other day and I saw this on the ground in the parking lot.  It's scared the #@! out of me as I almost stepped right on it.   At first, I thought it was "Gonna Get Me"!

"Holy cow" I thought to myself (I actually thought something different, but it's not really reader friendly).  So I took a picture of it to show to you.  I'm pretty sure it was dead. Thank goodness!  It was about 4 or 5 inches long and a brownish/gray.
