An Apology [Opinion]

To Mallory, Jake, Maddy, John and all of your children,

I would like to apologize for everything that my country has done to you  and the next generation. I have truly tried to stop the direction the country is going but have failed you.

I've saddled you with an insurmountable debt you will never be able to pay for. Millions of illegal immigrants continue to flood our nation. The U.S. military has been depleted to the point where I cannot guarantee your safety. And now we have a treaty with a terrorist nation that could someday wreak nuclear havoc on your family.

I only wish that God would have made me suffer for this stupidity instead of you.
