I was born in the southern U.S. and raised by a 21 year Marine Corps Vietnam Vet and his hard working, successful, Tennessee born bride. They set the bar pretty high for their three kids...so I decided to just walk under it and go into radio at age 16. After years of "town to town, up and down the dial", I made my way to Billings in 2005. That turned out to be the best decision I ever made. It lead to a great job, and the love of my life, my daughter, Eliana. I'm happy to be raising her in a place with a great mix of conservative family values and progressive ideas about inclusion and embracing the differences in people (provided they are not too liberal or from California).
How Do Teachers Stay Healthy?
I used to be that person who never got sick, but apparently those days are over. I'm on my second cold of 2019 and it's February. I suppose I could blame my aging body that I don't take proper care of, but I still choose to blame my daughter and the germ factories she hangs out with…
New Anti-Snoring Treatment Puts Red Hot Probes Up Your Nose
There is a new treatment available now, but I don't think I have ever loved anyone enough to put myself through this medieval torture. Two metal rods are heated up to 140 degrees and then shoved up the snorer's nose. In many cases, this burns and shrinks some of the tissue causing the bl…

In the case of Payless, they're not only dealing with online giants, but other brick and mortar giants who not only carry many of the same brands, but also sell groceries, car batteries and pet food.
Speaking Spanish is Not a Crime in Havre
Those legal citizens are no more or less of a citizen than I am. They are covered by the same Constitution that I am and should not be treated as less of a citizen because of their accent or preferred language.
My Mom Assaulted a Taco Bell Employee With a Burrito
I couldn't hear what my mom said, but I did hear the woman loudly use the words "crazy b****" and, well...that did it.
Names of Kids Most Likely to Get in Trouble at School
The two nerdiest nerds I can recall from my own past were Willard and Myron. It's almost as if their parents knew they would end up being the eggheads in school. Football captains have names like Trent or Trevor...not Eggbert or Cornelius.
Singing Valentines In Billings
I called the number listed on the tear-off tab of their flyer and it goes to an answering machine (I would say voicemail, but this might be an actual answering machine). According to the message, you simply need to leave your name and number and they will call you back to arrange your singing valen…
Dedications on Valentine’s Day
When I first got into radio, dedications were a big deal. We would do hours of them in a row. Of course, the problem with that is that you end up with a lot of mushy back-to-back ballads. Regardless, I'm bringing them back Thursday for Valentine's Day.
Internet Threat Could Lead To Missing Teens in Montana
This is a note to parents of teens to warn them about the latest internet challenge. The "48 Hour Challenge" encourages teens to disappear for 48 hours in hopes they may have their pics posted as a missing person on social media.
This is What Kris Is Doing with His Tax Refund This Year
He resolved to start saving for his daughter's college education this year, and a friend directed him to a great plan with tax benefits!
CDA Weekend Getaway
Coeur d'Alene Resort can be on the spendy side, but if you shop in the off season, you're likely to come up with some decent deals. Of course the trade off is that many of the lake activities (mainly the tour boats and sea plane) aren't available this time of year
The Most Unattractive Quality You Can Have
It has nothing to do with physical appearance. Don't get me wrong, obviously the physical stuff has to click, but for me there is something that makes even the biggest genetic lottery winners seem ugly: insecurity.
