Brad Paisley was in his element at the 2013 American Country Awards, as he not only got the chance to perform 'Mona Lisa,' but he also received the rare Video Visionary Award.

The singer was chosen for the award in recognition of his nearly 15 years of pairing amazing songs with creative, immensely entertaining music videos. The Video Visionary Award has only been given out once before, with Toby Keith scoring it in 2010 -- it is a rare and truly special achievement.

A video montage of some of Paisley's most priceless music video moments played as country icon Dwight Yoakam announced the award -- but before Paisley received it, he needed to pay his dues and perform for the throngs of fans in the audience.

He played an electrifying version of 'Mona Lisa,' complete with the type of guitar solo only Paisley can do. At one point, the singer -- clad in burgundy leather and a cowboy hat -- turned his performance into a singalong. "Alright y'all, repeat after me!" he yelled, leading the crowd into a series of "Ohhh's."

After his performance, Yoakam gave him the signature blue Fender. Paisley admitted, "I gotta say, you guys have the absolutely coolest trophy of any awards show."

Then, in his signature cheeky humor added, "It's horribly out of tune."

In addition to thanking his record label, the country star thanked his fans for having open minds, his wife (whom he mentioned is at home) and Yoakam for being an inspiration.

"Everybody have a great night. God bless," said Paisley before walking offstage with a shiny new guitar to hang up at home.
