"You've got to stop and smell the roses, you've got to count your many blessings every day" - Mac Davis

I was in my hometown of Great Falls, spending some time with family around Christmas. Sitting at a hotel, I was reading my hometown paper. As I grabbed the employment section, it triggered a memory from long ago, when the only way to get jobs was to scour the want ads and see if anybody needed my help. Few did.

But this is about blessings, right? So, I am blessed to not have to be a busboy anymore. (Even though I was clearly an all-star at it.) I am also blessed with the fact that I have now probably EATEN more pizzas than I made at Pizza Hut during my career there.

I am also blessed to have made my living doing what I've always kind of done while working other places. (You know, laughing, picking songs on the jukebox that I like.) I feel pretty good.

I'm also thankful that I no longer broadcast from the top of car dealerships in August, or have to wear the Moose suit (also, generally in the hot months.)
