Eric Church's 'The Outsiders' is the top album of 2014, according to the 2014 American Country Countdown Awards. Church's most recent project picked up the prize on Monday night -- it was his first-ever ACC Awards honor.

Hunter Hayes presented Church with the trophy, after the singer performed his current single, 'Talladega.' The full-band performance featured the North Carolina native in a black jacket with white patch sleeves and dark sunglasses. It was a subdued look and set for a singer known for flames and pyrotechnics on the Outsiders Tour.

“There’s a lot of people that think that albums are a thing of the past in the world of a $0.99 soundbite," Church said after thanking each of his band members. "I will say that albums matter more now than ever.”

Albums from Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert and Brantley Gilbert were also nominated. This was Church's only nomination.
